Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
You will be met by our safari guide at Kigali International Airport or preferred accommodation and after a small briefing about the safari, proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge/ Nyungwe Top Hill view

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
Early start tracking for the chimpanzees, this can take anything from a few hours to a full day depending on where the chimpanzees are. It should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. There are several other primates in Nyungwe such as the Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey. Day 3: Drive to Gisenyi

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, drive to the foothills of the volcanoes in Northern Rwanda for gorilla trekking. Trekking through the forest, hills and swamps can be tough, strenuous and tiring, sometimes taking up to 8 hours in the forest. But coming in contact with the great primates is well worth the effort. You spend one hour with the gorillas which is a truly amazing experience. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Le Bambou Lodge / Kinigi Guest House
